Free Kubernetes tools
Small, free tools for the Kubernetes numbers you calculate by hand: pod density on EKS, resource requests and limits, and manifest checks. They run in your browser, need no signup and send nothing to a server.

- Amazon EKSEKS max pods per node calculatorWork out the maximum pods per node on Amazon EKS from the instance type, with VPC CNI prefix delegation and the managed node group caps.
- ResourcesKubernetes requests and limits calculatorPaste a Pod or Deployment YAML to total CPU and memory across replicas, apply the init container rules and get the QoS class.
- ManifestsKubernetes YAML validatorCheck a Kubernetes manifest for YAML syntax errors, missing required fields and deprecated apiVersions before you apply it.
Why these tools
Most Kubernetes sizing mistakes come from arithmetic done in a hurry: a per-pod request multiplied by the wrong replica count, an init container added when it should be compared, or a 1G mistaken for a 1Gi. The tools above do that arithmetic for you and show the formula, so you can check it against the official documentation.
Each tool has a short explainer with worked examples and the sources it relies on. The calculators do not connect to your cluster or to AWS. Results are planning numbers, so confirm them on a test node before you size production capacity.
